Olive Waxed Long Equestrian Riding Coat

A traditional Irish equestrian riding coat from Jack Murphy, crafted from Scottish waxed cotton by Halley Stevensons of Dundee, specialists in weatherproof textiles since 1864.

Cut in a full riding length beyond the knees, and designed specifically for horseback use, with internal leg straps to keep the coat securely in place and a high rear riding vent allowing it to sit comfortably over the saddle while maintaining protection from the rain. Finished with a protective storm cape, corduroy collar and traditional checked lining.

The waxed cotton has developed a beautifully worn patina throughout, adding further character to its utilitarian construction.

A true unisex piece with a straight relaxed cut. Please note that the coat fastens on the opposite side compared to traditional menswear.
