A VISIT TO ENZO BONAFÈ

Upon arriving at the workshop, we were greeted by Enzos son Massimo, whose family has been perfecting the art of shoemaking since 1963.

What struck us most was the warm presence of his mother, who still actively contributes to the business, infusing each shoe with a touch of familial love and heritage.

As we toured the workshop, we were captured by the sight of skilled artisans shaping leather, stitching with precision, and pouring their hearts into every pair of shoes. It was evident that this was more than just a business—it was a labor of love, a legacy passed down from one generation to the next.

Today, Enzo Bonafè is led by Massimo, alongside his mother and sister Silvia. As a family-owned business, this structure aligns with their goal of maintaining a compact organizational setup and limited production.

Their values remain unchanged: sourcing the finest raw materials, employing pure craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and rigorous quality control for every shoe. Their team of artisans, masters of their craft and proponents of handmade excellence, collaborate with a cadre of talented young individuals eager to absorb the techniques passed down through generations.

Our visit not only deepened our understanding of the craft but also left us inspired by the unwavering commitment to quality and tradition. Here's to the spirit of family-owned businesses, and to the timeless beauty of Italian craftsmanship.
